Dr. LaMar is a Fellow and Honorary Fellow of the AAID, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Diplomate of the A.B.O.I., American Board of Implant Dentistry. He was nominated and inducted as a Diplomate of the American College of Dentists in 1998 and as a Diplomate of the International College of Dentists in 1999. He currently serves on the AAID Global Committee and Research Committee, and is a Past President of the AAID Global Committee and the Research Foundation. He was Chairman of the 1998 Northeast District Annual Meeting in Cooperstown, NY and acted as Chairman for Corporate Sponsorship for the 1999 Northeast District Meeting in Mystic, Connecticut.
Dr. LaMar was the Director of the Elmwood Dental Implant Study Club, an active member of the Seventh District Dental Society and of the Monroe County and Apollonian Dental Study Groups. He actively participates in many local charities. Dr. LaMar is a Past President of the Rochester Italian Charities and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of several private foundations.
Dr. LaMar formerly held the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Implant Dentistry, Department of Periodontology, at the Eastman Dental Center of the University of Rochester and is a frequent national and international speaker.
Dr. LaMar was the 2007 President of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, having served as Trustee for 10 years and an Officer of the Board of Trustees for the AAID for six years.
Dr. LaMar has lectured frequently at the Brookdale, Howard, India, Saudi Arabia, and Abu Dhabi MaxiCourses and has been the Director of the Iran MaxiCourse for Implant Dentistry since 2011.
Dr. LaMar is a consultant, director and staff member at the Hybridge Dental Implant Protocol.
